Yes, from age 19. Bill C-218, given royal assent on June 29, 2021 and in force since August 27, 2021, allowed single-game betting across Canada, and it explicitly recognizes esports competitions as sporting events. The law targets operators, not bettors.
Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut have no territorial online betting platform: only lottery products are offered. For northern bettors, offshore-licensed operators are therefore the main online option — all the more reason to compare withdrawal times and caps before depositing.
